It started with listening to a powerful sermon by Apostle Joshua Selman on passing down a godly heritage and the knowledge of God to one’s children, and the generations after. This changed and transformed Perez’s mind. 

Afterward, he had an encounter with the Lord asking him to surrender something he held dear in order to heed and fulfill a higher calling in Him.

These two events marked a great change in his relationship with God.
